Sales Mamas: Learn to Master CRM Systems with Sausha Davis
Hey, Sales Mamas! Today, we’re diving into the world of systems and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, focusing on how to optimize them to benefit your business. But first, let me share a little about myself for those of you who are new here.
I’ve been in sales for nearly 20 years—probably longer if you count my childhood days of convincing my parents to get me a horse. Speaking of which, I now live on a ranch in Southern Oregon with my three horses, four kids, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and cattle. I’m passionate about homesteading and horseback riding.
More recently, I’ve been in the coaching and consulting space for about seven years. My journey started around 2017, initially coaching health and wellness before pivoting to my true passion—sales. The key takeaway from my journey is the importance of just starting, regardless of where you begin.
My coaching career began organically, with a lot of referrals and minimal paid traffic. I believe in doing your best and the power of referrals—if you provide value, people will talk about it. This brings us to today’s topic: optimizing systems and CRMs to do a better job and provide so much value that people rave about us.
The Importance of CRM Systems
Whether you’re a beginner business owner, mid-tier, or high-level, having a proper CRM system is crucial. Many business owners think they have these systems in place, but often they don’t, or if they do, it’s a mess. A CRM system helps manage your leads outside of social media and keeps track of them efficiently.
A good CRM system helps you know where your leads are coming from and how many are converting. This is vital whether your sales funnel involves calls, chats, DMs, or emails. Knowing your numbers is essential for making informed decisions and optimizing your sales strategy.
Recommended CRM Systems
There are many CRM systems out there, such as Close.io, Airtable, Pipedrive, HubSpot, and Salesforce. My personal favorites are Simplero and Close.io. Here’s why:
Simplero:
All-in-one solution: website, landing pages, email marketing, webinars, events, scheduling links.
Deals pipeline and contact tagging.
Membership site for digital products, courses, coaching, and consulting.
Eliminates the need for multiple platforms like Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace, WordPress, ClickFunnels, Mailchimp, Kajabi, and Teachable.
Close.io:
Workflows for automations (calls, texts, emails).
Comprehensive communication tracking (calls, texts, emails) accessible by all team members.
Call recordings and message history for accountability and transparency.
Customizable phone numbers and an app for mobile integration.
Affordable pricing (around $60/month for the base plan).
Getting Started with CRM Systems
If you already have a CRM system, take the time to learn how to set it up and optimize it. If not, consider investing in one and learning it thoroughly. If you need assistance, don’t hesitate to invest in someone who can help you. Knowing your numbers and having efficient systems in place will help you grow and scale your business effectively.
To sum up, having a proper CRM system is like having a solid foundation for your house. Without it, everything can collapse. So, learn your system, track your leads, and optimize your sales funnel.
